Patient Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Your Health Today. These Terms & Conditions explain how we provide our services and what you can expect when booking an appointment with us. By booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Booking Appointments

Appointments can be booked online, by telephone or by email and are subject to clinician availability.

Your appointment is confirmed once you receive confirmation from Your Health Today.

Payment

Payment for all virtual consultations must be received before your appointment takes place.

If payment has not been received before the scheduled appointment time, Your Health Today reserves the right to postpone or cancel the appointment until payment has been made.

Where face-to-face appointments are available, payment may be made at the clinic on the day of your appointment using one of our accepted payment methods, unless payment has been requested in advance.

Payment for Third-Party Services

Where investigations, imaging or diagnostic tests are provided by a third-party organisation, payment should be made directly to the relevant provider unless otherwise advised.

Any fees charged by third-party providers are separate from Your Health Today’s consultation fees and are subject to the provider’s own terms and conditions, including any applicable cancellation or refund policies.

Cancellation Policy

Patients may cancel or reschedule their appointment free of charge at any time before the scheduled appointment time.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, we kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible so that the appointment can be offered to another patient.

If your consultation has already taken place, or you fail to attend without notifying us beforehand, refunds will not normally be available.

Refund Policy – Diagnostic Tests

Due to the nature of diagnostic tests supplied by Your Health Today, all testing services and test kits are non-refundable once an order has been confirmed and/or the test kit has been dispatched.

Patients are responsible for completing the test and returning any samples to the relevant laboratory or testing provider in accordance with the instructions provided.

If a patient chooses not to complete the test, fails to return their sample, or decides not to proceed after the test kit has been dispatched, no refund will be issued. This is because costs associated with the test and laboratory processing are incurred regardless of whether the sample is returned.

Where testing is carried out by a third-party provider, the provider’s own terms and conditions may also apply.

Virtual Consultations

Virtual consultations are delivered using secure video consultation software.

Patients are responsible for ensuring they have:

  • A suitable internet connection.
  • A working camera and microphone.
  • A private and appropriate location for their consultation.

If technical difficulties occur during your appointment, we will make every reasonable effort to continue or rearrange the consultation where appropriate.

Prescriptions

Where clinically appropriate, prescriptions may be issued following your consultation.

The decision to prescribe medication remains entirely at the clinician’s professional discretion.

Prescription charges may apply.

Investigations & Referrals

Your clinician may recommend further investigations, diagnostic tests, imaging or referral to another healthcare professional where clinically appropriate.

Any additional costs will always be discussed with you before you decide whether to proceed.

Results

Where investigations are arranged through Your Health Today, results will be communicated using the agreed method.

Some results may require a follow-up consultation to discuss findings and treatment options.

Patient Responsibilities

To help us provide safe, effective and high-quality care, patients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and up-to-date medical information.
  • Informing us of any changes to their contact details.
  • Attending appointments on time or notifying us if they need to cancel.
  • Following any instructions provided before or after their consultation.
  • Ensuring they are in a private environment with suitable equipment for virtual appointments.

Clinical Advice

Advice provided during your consultation is based on the information available at the time of your appointment.

If your condition changes, worsens or you have urgent medical concerns, you should seek immediate medical advice.

In a medical emergency, please call 999 or attend your nearest Accident & Emergency Department.

Confidentiality

Your Health Today is committed to protecting your personal information.

All patient information is handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.

Accessibility

Your Health Today is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive service for all patients.

If you have any accessibility requirements or require reasonable adjustments to support your consultation or appointment, please let us know before your appointment wherever possible. This allows us to make appropriate arrangements and provide the best possible care.

While we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate individual needs, some adjustments may require advance notice to ensure they can be arranged.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate your concerns promptly and fairly.
