Supporting Your Health

our women’s health is an important part of your overall wellbeing. A face-to-face gynaecology appointment gives you dedicated time with an experienced clinician to discuss your concerns in person, receive a thorough assessment and access appropriate investigations where needed.

Whether you’re experiencing changes to your periods, pelvic pain, hormonal symptoms, menopause or perimenopause concerns, fertility worries, unusual bleeding, vaginal symptoms, or simply feel that something isn’t quite right, an in-person consultation can help you get closer to understanding the cause.

During your appointment, your clinician will take the time to listen to your symptoms, review your medical and gynaecological history and consider any previous test or scan results. Where clinically appropriate, a physical or gynaecological examination can be undertaken, helping to provide a more complete assessment of your symptoms.

Following your consultation, we can discuss the most appropriate next steps, which may include treatment, medication, blood tests, ultrasound or other diagnostic investigations, ongoing monitoring or specialist referral.

With Your Health, you can access private face-to-face women’s healthcare without needing a GP referral, giving you greater choice and control over your care.

Choose the clinic location most convenient to you and take the next step towards clearer answers and a personalised plan for your health.

5 Star Experience

“Your Health provided such a positive and supportive experience. From the beginning, I felt listened to and comfortable discussing my health concerns, and the team took the time to explain everything clearly without making me feel rushed.

Having someone listen, answer my questions and talk me through the options available gave me the reassurance and confidence I needed to move forward with my care.

I’m incredibly grateful for the friendly, professional and personalised support I received and would highly recommend Your Health to anyone looking for accessible and compassionate healthcare.”

Why Choose a Face-to-Face Gynaecology Appointment?

Assessment Beyond the Conversation

Some gynaecological concerns can be managed effectively through a virtual consultation. Others benefit from being assessed in person.

A face-to-face appointment allows your clinician to undertake a physical or gynaecological examination where clinically appropriate and with your consent.

This can provide valuable additional information when investigating symptoms such as pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, vaginal symptoms, prolapse or other intimate health concerns.

Access Investigations When You Need Them

Understanding the cause of your symptoms may require more than a consultation.

Depending on your symptoms and clinical assessment, your clinician may recommend investigations such as:

  • Pelvic or transvaginal ultrasound
  • Blood tests
  • Hormone testing
  • Vaginal or cervical swabs
  • Cervical screening where appropriate
  • Further specialist imaging
  • Endometrial assessment
  • Other gynaecological investigations

Not every patient needs investigations.

Your clinician will explain what is recommended, why it may be helpful and what the results could tell us before you decide how you would like to proceed.

What Gynaecological Conditions Can We Help With?

Our private gynaecology service supports women experiencing a wide range of symptoms and conditions, including:

Heavy, Painful or Irregular Periods

Periods that are particularly heavy, painful, prolonged or unpredictable can significantly affect work, relationships, exercise, sleep and everyday life.

We can help investigate potential causes and discuss appropriate treatment options.

Pelvic Pain

Pelvic pain can have many possible causes and deserves appropriate assessment, particularly when it is persistent, severe or interfering with your quality of life.

Endometriosis & Adenomyosis

Symptoms may include painful periods, chronic pelvic pain, painful intercourse, bowel or bladder symptoms and fertility concerns.

We can assess your symptoms and discuss whether further investigation or specialist imaging may be appropriate.

Fibroids & Polyps

Fibroids and endometrial polyps can contribute to heavy bleeding, irregular bleeding, pelvic pressure, pain and other symptoms.

Assessment and appropriate imaging can help establish whether these conditions may be contributing to your symptoms.

PCOS & Hormonal Concerns

Irregular periods, acne, unwanted hair growth, changes in weight and difficulties with ovulation can sometimes be associated with hormonal conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome.

We can review your symptoms and advise on appropriate investigations and management.

Menopause & Perimenopause

Menopause can affect much more than your periods.

Hot flushes, night sweats, disrupted sleep, mood changes, vaginal symptoms, reduced libido and changes in concentration can all have a significant impact on quality of life.

Our clinicians can discuss your symptoms, HRT where appropriate, non-hormonal options and ongoing monitoring.

Unusual or Unexpected Bleeding

Bleeding between periods, after intercourse or after menopause should be appropriately assessed.

Your clinician can review your symptoms and recommend further examination or investigation where necessary.

Vaginal & Intimate Health

Changes in discharge, discomfort, dryness, recurrent symptoms, painful intercourse and other intimate concerns can be difficult to talk about.

Our appointments provide a confidential environment where these symptoms can be discussed openly and professionally.

Fertility & Menstrual Cycle Concerns

If you are concerned about your menstrual cycle, ovulation or fertility, an appointment can help you understand which investigations may be appropriate and what your next steps could be.

What Happens During My Appointment?

Your appointment is centred around understanding you, rather than simply treating an individual symptom.

1. We Listen

Your clinician will discuss your symptoms, medical history and any concerns you have.

You will have the opportunity to explain what has been happening and how it is affecting you.

2. We Review

If you have previous ultrasound scans, blood tests, hospital letters or other medical information, these can be reviewed alongside your symptoms.

3. We Examine

Where clinically appropriate, your clinician may recommend an abdominal, pelvic or vaginal examination.

This will always be explained beforehand and undertaken only with your consent.

4. We Investigate

If further investigation is recommended, we will explain what is required and why.

5. We Make a Plan

Most importantly, we want you to leave your appointment understanding what happens next.

This could include treatment, medication, further investigations, monitoring, follow-up or referral for additional specialist care.d clinically appropriate.

Already Had Tests or Scans?

You don’t necessarily need to start again.

If you have already undergone investigations through your GP, NHS hospital or another private healthcare provider, bring your results or reports with you.

Your clinician can review these alongside your current symptoms and determine whether any additional investigation is genuinely required.

This can help avoid unnecessary duplication while giving your clinician a clearer understanding of your healthcare journey.

Can Treatment or Medication Be Started?

Yes, where clinically appropriate.

Your clinician can discuss available treatment and symptom-management options based on your assessment.

Depending on your individual circumstances, this could include medication, hormonal or non-hormonal treatments, lifestyle measures, monitoring or referral for further specialist treatment.

The benefits, potential side effects and alternatives should be discussed with you so that decisions about your healthcare are made together.

Private Gynaecology Without a GP Referral

You do not need to wait for a GP referral to speak to our team.

You can book directly with Your Health, giving you greater choice over when and where you access care.

This may be particularly helpful if:

  • Your symptoms are affecting your quality of life.
  • You are waiting for an NHS appointment.
  • Your symptoms have changed or become worse.
  • Previous treatment hasn’t helped.
  • You would like another opinion.
  • You want to understand whether further investigation is needed.
  • You simply feel that something isn’t right.

You don’t need to know what is causing your symptoms before booking.

Finding out is why we’re here.
